Some things men want in relationships

We've all heard it before, when Men and Women get together, there's always a propensity for disaster. It's a universal truth, men and women think differently. And yet, they still hook-up, never once thinking that these differences could lead to chaos. Of course, when the relationship works, the chaos turns into something beautiful.

How does one turn something as random as two people meeting, into something with meaning? By understanding each other, of course.

Unfortunately, only one half of the couple is verbose when it comes to stating their wants and needs, and that would be the woman. We all know what women want: to be loved, cherished, and listened to. It doesn't end there, though. Relationships are always two-way. You may know what the other side wants, but what exactly makes men happy in a relationship?

Delving into a guy's mind is like navigating thru a maze, it's frustrating, confusing, and most often, you end up facing dead ends. But once you get into their psyche, you'll figure out that beneath that tight-lipped exterior is a man who knows what he wants and gets it, whether you like it or not.

Men love their freedom. Take that away from them, and the relationship's toast. If you take away their ability to decide for themselves, then you take away his sense of individuality, his sense of person. Men do not want to make their relationship everything about them. And that means not taking away their Male Bonding Time.

Men want to hold on to their masculine side. So, even if he loves you enough to have an occasional facial with you, you can't expect him to go all sentimental with you all the time. Give him his bro-mance time. Let him bond with his guy friends. Don't let him feel that by loving you, he loses the right to be a rough, primal male.

Men need to feel trusted. Sometimes, the more trust you give them, the easier it is for them to be faithful. Of course, you have to also make sure that you know the difference between trust and naivete. Know your limits, be more trusting. If the guy's a jerk, then you're better off without him, and it's a blessing that you found out sooner. So, just let your guy be, and he'll love you all the more for that.

Men are all about sex. Unfortunately, this is true. Though he shows his sensitive side at times, there's nothing like sex to errr... excite them more. It's a fact of life, and women should accept it. Let him have his fantasies, when you've got him in the bedroom, you'll definitely benefit from them.

Men like it if you like what they want. If you even try to like football, they'll think you're the coolest girlfriend in the world. Just make them feel that you understand their interests, and would want to get to know it better, then it's a plus for them. However, don't try to be better at them, that's bound to be an ego-buster.

When it comes to relationships, it's all about balance, and a sense of give and take. Believe it or not, what women want is actually what men want.
